All employees participate in our environmental, health and safety (EHS) program, making personal well–being the highest objective of every project. 每一个 特立独行的 employee has full stop–work authority, should he or she feel a requested task may be unsafe.
A Team of 安全 Professionals
Our dedicated safety personnel manage the practical and global application of our EHS program. This team includes a director as well as regional and functional managers. For complete process safety management, their expertise lies in local regulations and safety hazards related to the scope of services we provide in various industries. These leaders keep all employees, subcontractors and others informed of their specific roles with regards to the EHS program. They ensure that the right tools, 设备, PPE and work practices are known, available and properly used.
培训
All of our training programs focus on achieving zero injuries, zero environmental incidents and zero operating disruptions. We provide hazard awareness training as well as any necessary qualified training for performing specific types of work and using certain kinds of 设备. We provide industry-specific training, such as paper mill safety, 矿山安全, 食品和饮料, pharmaceutical and refinery safety. Our policies and work practices meet or exceed the regulatory requirements and consensus standards, our customer procedures and industry best practices. 特立独行的 also offers an eLearning Center that provides global coverage of our EHS training program, which focuses on the compliance requirements. 更重要的是, it also focuses on the process and methodology to ensure the protection of our environment, the communities we work in and the safety of our employees and all other individuals working adjacent to our activities.
The Role of 管理
All 特立独行的 managers assume accountability for the health and safety of all employees and contractors. Managers also take responsibility for disciplinary enforcement of all EHS program policies. Everyone understands that health and safety are the key factors in all management decisions, so schedules and budgets never take precedence over the well–being of our people.
Continuous Improvement
We establish measurable safety goals and continually audit our EHS program, performing formal reviews each year to ensure that we are meeting any new requirements. We also follow environmental regulations and new control technology developments to be sure we provide the most informed consulting services. 另外, we encourage all employees to participate in the ongoing improvement process without fear of retribution or retaliation for reporting unsafe practices. 因为 of our commitment to safety, 特立独行的 has always achieved recordable injury rates that are well below the national averages for the associated SIC and NAICS codes.
